Assoc. prof. Jan Nohel, PhD, born in 1984. He works as an associate professor at the Department of Tactics at the University of Defense. In May 2025, he vindicated his habilitation thesis in the field of State Defense Management at the University of Defense. His scientific work focuses on information support for the decision-making process of commanders at the tactical level of command and control, intelligence and geographical analysis, and terrain passability modeling. He focuses on the creation of mathematical algorithms for data processing and analysis and their integration into C4ISR systems. Before beginning his scientific and pedagogical work at the University of Defense, he gained practical military experience as a commander and intelligence officer of the Czech Armed Forces.
