Jireš Jan
Jan Jireš, PhD., born in 1979, graduated from the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University in Prague, in the field of political science and history. Ph.D. in Political Science was awarded in 2012 for a dissertation on American foreign policy towards Central Europe. Currently, he is leading Centre for Transatlantic Relations CEVRO Institute and Professor of Security Studies and International Relations. In 2010 and 2011 he was a member of the Commission for the preparation of the White Paper on Defence. It deals mainly with European security, transatlantic security cooperation and security policy.
