Lt-Col. prof. RNDr. Miroslav Pohanka, Ph.D., DSc., was born in 1979. He is an absolvent of Masaryk University from biochemistry in degrees up to PhD (2003, 2005 and 2008), associated professor (toxicology, 2012), doctor of sciences (analytical chemistry, 2014), full professor (analytical chemistry, 2016). He specializes on diagnoses and analyses of biological and chemical warfare agents and protection against them. As a soldier, he worked in Centre for Biological Defense in Těchonín (since 2003) and in University of Defence (since 2008). He is an author of more than 300 papers in journals with impact factor with total number of cited 4918 (web of science) and H index 34. He also published various monographs and textbooks.
