Prof. František Hanzlík, born in 1954. He is a graduate of the Military Political Academy in Bratislava (1977), defended his dissertation and habilitation in the field of Czechoslovak history at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University (1992 and 1997)). He completed the appointment procedure at the University of Silesia in Opava (2012). Since 1984, he has been working as a scientific and pedagogical worker. Until 2004 at the University of the Ground Forces in Vyškov and from 2004 at the University of Defense,  Brno. He deals with issues of military history with a focus on the 1st and 2nd World Wars, on the Czechoslovak military exile after February 1948, on the role of secret services in the struggle for political power and on the history of military education.
