COL (Ret.) Jan Zezula, PhD, born in 1973. He graduated from the Military College of Ground Forces in Vyškov (1994) and became a PhD in doctoral studies of Military Management at the University of Defence in Brno (2007). From 1994 to 2019, he performed in command and staff positions of the Land Forces of the Army of the Czech Republic. He has been deploying in the command functions of four foreign operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan (2002, 2008, 2011, 2013). He worked as the Head of the Department of tactics at the University of Defence (2020 – 2024). He focuses on the field of preparation and deployment of the Land Forces, military leadership and using modern technologies for future operations. He works as assistant professor at Department of tactics at the University of Defense.
